Connect to Your Healthcare Providers

xHeal can connect directly to supported healthcare systems to automatically import your medical records, lab results, and clinical data.

What Is FHIR?

FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is a standard that allows health apps to securely exchange data with healthcare providers. Many major health systems now support FHIR.

Supported Health Systems

xHeal supports Epic-powered health systems including major academic medical centers, large hospital networks, and many regional healthcare systems.

Setting Up a Connection

Go to Settings, Integrations, tap Connect Health System, search for your provider, select from list, and tap Connect.

Authentication

You will be redirected to your health system login. Enter patient portal credentials, complete two-factor authentication, review data access request, and approve connection.

What Data Is Imported

Demographics, Conditions (diagnosed problems), Medications (current and past), Allergies, Lab Results, Vital Signs (from clinical visits), Immunizations, and Procedures.

Sync Frequency

Initial sync imports available history, ongoing sync checks periodically, and manual refresh is available anytime.

Managing Connections

Go to Settings, Integrations, see connected systems, tap any for details, and disconnect anytime with Remove Connection.

Multiple Health Systems

Connect multiple providers (primary care, specialists, hospitals, labs). Data from all sources merges into your unified profile.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot find your provider, not all systems support FHIR yet - you can upload documents manually or check back later. If connection failed, verify credentials work, check if app connection is enabled, and try disconnecting and reconnecting.

Privacy and Control

You initiate and control the connection, xHeal only accesses authorized data, revoke access anytime, and data is encrypted and never sold.
