Logging Food and Meals
Track What You Eat
Consistent food logging helps xHeal understand your nutrition patterns and provide better recommendations.
Method 1: Photo Analysis (Fastest)
- Tap Log Food from Dashboard or Routine
- Tap Take Photo
- Photograph your plate from above
- AI identifies foods and estimates portions
- Review and adjust if needed
- Tap Log Meal
Tips: Good lighting improves accuracy, capture the full plate, separate items if possible.
Method 2: Search Database
Tap Log Food, tap Search Foods, type the food name, select from results, adjust serving size, and tap Add. The database includes 1M+ foods.
Method 3: Barcode Scan
For packaged foods, tap Log Food, tap Scan Barcode, point camera at barcode, product info appears automatically, adjust serving and add.
Method 4: From Meal Plan
If following an xHeal meal plan, open your Routine, tap the meal task, and if the planned meal matches, tap Log as Planned for one-tap logging.
Method 5: Recent and Favorites
Recent shows your last 20 logged items. Favorites are foods you have starred. Custom Foods are items you created. Tap any to log instantly.
Creating Custom Foods
Tap Log Food, Create Custom Food, enter name, enter nutrition info (calories, protein, carbs, fat), set serving size, and save.
Editing Logged Meals
Go to Nutrition History or tap the logged meal, tap Edit, adjust foods/portions or remove items, and save changes.
Logging Meals for Different Times
Before confirming, tap Meal to select Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snack, and optionally change date/time.
Pro Tip: Logging does not have to be perfect. Rough estimates are far better than not logging at all.
